Consultation Meeting

Consultation on the proposed methodology for the Southwest Transmission Grid Expansion Project 

A draft JCM methodology of Southwest Transmission Grid Expansion Project has been prepared by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) team of Japan Fund for the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JFJCM). The proposed draft methodology is expected to be used in that JCM project where Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. (PGBC) will introduce energy efficient transmission lines between Gopalganj and Barisal with a grant support from JFJCM. Through this meeting, ADB team explained this proposed methodology for Installation of energy-saving transmission lines in the Bangladesh Grid to members of JCM Secretariat Bangladesh and experts of Bangladesh. This meeting was held online on 15th December, 2021 where Dr. Md. Ziaur Rahman Khan, Professor, Dept. of EEE, BUET and Mr. Utpal Bhattacharya, Consultant had participated the meeting as experts from Bangladesh. They have shared their valuable remarks on the proposed JCM methodology.
